Nuts for chocolate nougat and walnuts

Ingredients

  • 350 g of chocolate fondant
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (100 g)

Method of preparation

  1. First, place the chocolate in a Maria Bath so that it melts. Stir constantly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  2. Once you get the desired texture, remove from heat.
  3. Afterwards, set aside some walnuts for decoration. The rest must be well ground and added to the chocolate. Mix well until you get a smooth mixture.
  4. Afterwards, transfer the mixture to a mold made of stainless steel, silicone or aluminum. You cannot use plastic packaging.
  5. Also, smooth the mixture into the mold. Give small taps to remove what you might have in the chocolate.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours.
  7. Finally, carefully remove from the mold. Grease a little chocolate on the surface to fix the walnuts that have been separated for decoration.

Another way to prepare the chocolate and walnut nougat

This second recipe incorporates an extremely useful ingredient, condensed milk. Not only for the purpose of enriching the flavor, but also to smooth the texture. This delicious ingredient brings  greater sweetness to the final dessert result.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cup milk chocolate (preferably 70% cocoa) (250 g)
  • 1/2 cup shelled walnuts (80 g)
  • 3/4 cup of condensed milk (150 ml)

Method of preparation

  1. First, break the chocolate into small pieces.
  2. Soon after, place the chocolate and the condensed milk in a bain-marie until they are melted  and the mixture is completely homogeneous.
  3. Also, mash the walnuts into small pieces and add to the mixture. Stir vigorously with the help of a wooden spoon.
  4. On the other hand, pour the mixture into a mold lined with baking paper.
  5. Soon , refrigerate for 4 hours to harden. After that time, demould.
  6. Finally, keep it cool while it’s not consumed.

Chocolate nougat and walnuts with almonds

Almond is another traditional ingredient in nougats. In addition to flavor,  this dried fruit offers vitamins, proteins and minerals, as well as abundant fiber. It also protects the heart and reduces the risk of suffering a heart attack.

Chocolate Torrone

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of milk chocolate (100 g)
  • 200 grams of chocolate fondant
  • 1 1/3 cup almonds (200 g)
  • 1/2 cup of butter (100 g)
  • 3 spoons of honey (75 g)
  • 1/2 cups of walnuts (75 g)

Method of preparation

  1. First, heat a pan in a bain-marie. Add both types of chocolate at the same time and stir constantly with a wooden spoon  until they melt and melt evenly.
  2. Then, in a separate bowl, mix the butter with the honey.
  3. Later, join both mixtures in a single preparation, forming a homogeneous combination, where all the ingredients are mixed.
  4. On the other hand, pass the paste to a form lined with waxed paper. Cover the entire surface with properly chopped walnuts and almonds.
  5. Finally, refrigerate and wait at least a day to serve.
