Do you want to know some scents that fight mosquitoes? We all suffer from one of the most common ailments of summer, which are mosquito bites. 1. Vanilla

One of the scents that can help kill mosquitoes is vanilla. In order for it to work,  you need to mix the vanilla with baby cream in a ratio of 1 to 10.

Once you have this mixture of vanilla essence and baby cream, you should apply it to all the parts of the body that will be uncovered to scare away mosquitoes.

Another of the mixes you can make (with a vanilla scent base) is to  dissolve the vanilla in water  and sprinkle it on any exposed parts of the body.

2. Essential oils of anise, cloves and basil

Other scents that fight mosquitoes are essential oils based on anise, cloves and basil, in addition to other herbs.

These essences can be mixed in  a proportion of 5 or 10 drops in a glass of water and sprinkled on the exposed skin, as well as in the fireplace or in the room where we are going to dinner.

This solution also works for our home, as we can put this type of mixture impregnated into cotton and put it over the window to prevent mosquitoes from entering.

Thirdly, fresh sackcloth branches are ideal for warding off mosquitoes. These branches should be placed in a room, although care must be taken, as  their strong smell can be harmful to health and sleep, so it is necessary to put them out at night.

Another of the scents that fight mosquitoes is cloves, which can be mixed in a glass of water with 5 grams of essence and boiled for 15 minutes.

When you have boiled the water, mix 10 drops of the resulting infusion with a tablespoon of perfume and  spray it on the exposed parts of your body. It will be a lasting solution for hours.

This solution is  ideal for days in the countryside or on the farm,  as you just throw a few branches of juniper into a fire, fireplace, or similar, and you can forget about mosquitoes for the rest of the day.

7. Cedar Oil

It is  one of the most complete solutions,  as cedar oil helps to scare away and kill mosquitoes and also other insects, such as flies and cockroaches.

One of the oldest and most effective methods of scaring away and killing mosquitoes is using chamomile. The flowers, stems and dry leaves of the chamomile plant directly affect these insects. Like? Through your nerve cells, preventing them from approaching you.

9. Basil leaves

Basil leaves are useful for preparing different dishes and are also very effective in scaring away mosquitoes.

Just rub them on the areas of the body that are exposed. They also work by putting them in the bedroom to keep mosquitoes away and so we can sleep peacefully at night.

10. Oil, shampoo and vinegar

Another of the most effective remedies to scare away and kill mosquitoes and, for that matter, also flies, is a  mixture of oil, shampoo and vinegar.

You must mix these ingredients in the same proportions  until you form a white foam. You should apply this mixture to exposed parts of your body. You can also put them in a container indoors to keep mosquitoes away.
